La Villa du Guern featured by Sawday’s

La Villa du Guern has just joined the selection of special places listed by Britain’s Sawday’s.

After a careful selection, Sawday’s brings together places with strong character, charm and authenticity in France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Since the creation of its first directory, Sawday’s motto has been to stamp out bland and predictable places, and help guests discover exceptional places that offer eclecticism and character.

Each year, 3500 of its 5000 selected sites (whether castles, guest houses, farms or small private hotels) are inspected to ensure that their description by Sawday’s is fully in line with the experience visitors will have.

Sawday’s was created in 1994 by Alastair Sawday, an Englishman who wanted to share the hidden delights of France that he had discovered during his travels.

This first collection of good addresses quickly became a best-seller, which has since been republished and printed in 1.4 million copies. The guide was then completed by a website with 3 million visitors every year, a blog, a monthly newsletter, contests and a strong presence on social networks (facebook, twitter, pinterest).
